In “Emergency Exits,” a houseful of doors constantly open and close, seemingly within reach but always intangible and impenetrable. This work questions how “emergency” and “exit” are defined, promises and hopes falsified; and in return, proposes new possibilities for collective path-finding and portal-building. With sound design by Corey Smith
